When capturing a wedding day, I navigate between being a fly on the wall and being involved when I’m needed. Of course, I’ll be helping you get set up for the bigger ‘photo moments’ of the day, like when your mom is helping you with those final touches of buttoning up your dress and you’re putting on your jewelry, I’ll make sure that you’re in a well lit spot, or helping you and your partner get set up for your first look, but then letting you have your own private moment. What I won’t do is interrupt special and significant moments of your day for a perfect photo. I want to capture your day as authentically as possible! When it comes time for portraits of the two of you, this is where I’ll give you a little more direction since these are most likely the photos you’ll be printing. I’ll give you prompts that flow into natural movement together, and I’ll also do some classic posed shots as well! The in-between moments are yours; yours to mingle with guests, yours to steal a kiss from one another, yours to soak it all in, and I’ll be there to capture it from a distance.
